Latin King leaders can order “missions”—assignments given to subordinate members

Feds indict region men on gang related charges: "Latin Kings are organized by geographical locations into “regions,” each with its own rank structure including a “Regional Inca”—the highest authority in the region—and one or more “Regional Enforcers” tasked to enforcing discipline, the indictment states.
Each region is comprised of separate “chapters” or “branches”—usually “named after a street or streets that run through the chapter”—averaging a membership of 30 and each with its own rank structure, including an Inca, a second-in-command known as a “Casique,” an Enforcer, a Treasurer, and a “Crown Council,” each member of which are in charge of non-ranking members or “Soldiers,” the indictment states.
Several regions of Latin Kings operate in Chicago and Northwest Indiana, including in Hammond and parts of Gary, the indictment states.
Latin King leaders can order “missions”—assignments given to subordinate members—which could range from a “B.O.S.” or a “beat down on sight” to a “K.O.S.”—also known as a “green light”—or “kill on sight,” the indictment states.
Members of the Latin Kings “greet each other . . . using a set of hand-signs, each intended to evoke the shape of a crown” or by “exclaiming ‘ADR’ or ‘Amor De Rey’”: “King’s Love” in Spanish, the indictment states."
