“I am staying put and looking forward to having a crack at the Champions League with Spurs,” he said over a beer at his beachside club, that he part owns with Ian Radford.
The footballer, who has been in Marbella for over a month, added: “I’ve had a great time down here this summer and am sad to have to go back for pre-season training.”"
