Málaga Airport has announced losses for 2011 of 20.59 million €

Málaga Airport has announced losses for 2011 of 20.59 million €, while the AENA network managed to reduce the losses of 2010 by almost 20%. Total losses on the network were 275 million €. Of the 47 airports and two heliports on the network, 39 presented losses after tax while 10 showed profits. Of the main airports Madrid Barajas lost 94.98 million, down 29.5% on 2101 and Barcelona El Prat saw losses of 21.87 million down 70.4%. Other airports to make a loss were – La Palma -14.67 million. Menorca – 10.68 million, Vigo -10.61 million, and Vitoria -10.24 million. Among the ten airports to make a profit are Palma de Mallorca +44.68 million, Tenerife Sur + 24,98 million, Gran Canaria + 22.33 million, Alicante +10 million, Lanzarote +8.67million, Sevilla +6.05 million, Valencia +5.63 million, Ibiza + 3.45 million, Fuerteventura + 1.21 million, and Bilbao +1.71 million.
