Spain's most titled noble goes to Buckingham Palace: "Spain’s most titled noble and, purportedly, the most titled woman in Europe and even the world, has travelled to the UK to attend a royal charity gala dinner at the invitation of the Prince of Wales.
The event is in aid of the Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts and is being hosted by the Prince at Buckingham Palace. La Voz Libre reports that María del Rosario Cayetana Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Francisca Fitz-James Stuart y de Silva, the XVIII Duchess of Alba, is accompanied on the trip by her son, Cayetano, who will be her dance partner at the gala.
She holds 46 noble titles and is 20 times a Grandee of Spain. It is said that she is able to cross the country from North to South without having to set foot on any land that is not her own.
It’s understood that Queen Elizabeth II will be at the gala, but there’s little known about the official protocol for the event, or whether the Queen will be bowing down to the most titled woman in Europe."
